Welcome to iOxu ("we," "our," or "us"). iOxu is an educational mobile application designed to help students in Azerbaijan prepare for various exams through interactive quizzes, progress tracking, and gamified learning experiences.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you first open iOxu, an anonymous account is created automatically for you. We collect:
- Name (entered during onboarding, used to personalize the app)
- Grade level (used to show curriculum-appropriate content)
- An anonymous user identifier generated on your device
We do not collect an email address, phone number, password, or data from any third-party identity provider in this version of the app.
This information is stored securely via Supabase, our backend provider.
2.2 Learning Progress Data
To provide personalized learning experiences, we collect:
- Quiz results and scores
- XP points and achievements
- Daily streaks and learning goals
- Subject preferences and selected exam types
- Time spent on learning activities
2.3 Device Information
We collect device information necessary for app functionality:
- Device type and operating system version
- Push notification tokens (for study reminders, if enabled)
- App version
- Language preferences
2.4 Analytics Data
We use PostHog for analytics to understand how users interact with our app. This includes anonymized usage patterns such as:
- Feature usage statistics
- App navigation patterns
- Error reports and crash data
- Performance metrics
Analytics data is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify individual users.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide personalized learning: Customize quiz difficulty, recommend subjects, and adapt to your learning style
- Track your progress: Display your achievements, streaks, XP points, and learning statistics
- Enable social features: Show your position on leaderboards and enable friend challenges
- Send study reminders: If you enable notifications, we send reminders to help maintain your learning streak

4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate iOxu. Each is described below with the data they process and why:
4.1 Supabase
Backend infrastructure: anonymous account management and learning progress storage. Data processed: anonymous user ID, name (entered during onboarding), grade, quiz history, XP, streak, daily goal. Located in: US. Supabase Privacy Policy
4.2 RevenueCat
Subscription management and Apple receipt validation. Data processed: an anonymous identifier and purchase events. Located in: US. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
4.3 PostHog
Product analytics. Data processed: an anonymous distinct identifier (equal to the Supabase user ID), event names, screen view counts, device model, OS version, app version, locale. No name, no grade, no quiz content. Located in: US. PostHog Privacy Policy
4.4 Apple Push Notification service (APNs)
Delivers reminder notifications (streaks, study reminders) to your device. Data processed: an Apple-issued push token tied to your device. Located in: Apple data centres. Apple Privacy Policy
iOxu does NOT offer Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, email sign-in, or any other third-party identity provider in this version. All accounts are anonymous and created automatically on your device.
5. Data Storage and Security
We take the security of your data seriously:
- Secure storage: Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers with industry-standard security measures
- Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security)
- Access controls: We implement strict access controls to limit who can access user data
- No data sales: We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
6.1 Access Your Data
You can view most of your data directly in the app, including your profile information, learning progress, and achievements.
6.2 Delete Your Account
You can delete your account at any time through the app settings. This will permanently remove your account and associated data from our servers.
6.3 Opt Out of Analytics
You can opt out of analytics data collection in the app settings. This will prevent PostHog from collecting usage data from your device.
6.4 Manage Notifications
You can enable or disable push notifications through your device settings or the app settings at any time.

7. Children's Privacy
iOxu is designed for users aged 12 and older. The app contains educational content suitable for secondary school and university-level students.
For users under 18, we recommend parental or guardian supervision when using the app and creating an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 12. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 12, please contact us immediately at support@ioxu.app.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Posting the new Privacy Policy in the app
- Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
- Sending an in-app notification for significant changes
